Acupuncture can help many physical conditions, and it can help many energetic conditions. Attuning to your body’s energy is a way to develop intuition, calmness, sensitivity, and patience. Acupuncture stimulates the movement of energy and makes it easier to perceive. Each point affects the body, the nervous system, the flow of blood, and the electrical pathways of the nerves. This stimulation of the nerves allows the patient to more easily perceive the already present flow of energy. By making it stronger, it becomes easier for the patient to perceive.

This allows the patient to consciously attune to this greater flow of energy. Also, outside of treatments, one can be more attuned to the energy. By feeling the energy, it becomes easier to manipulate, to direct it, move it, and focus it at certain points in the body that are conducive to meditation, devotional practices, prayer, or energy work. Though a mildly invasive form of therapy, it is also a subtle form of energy work.

  • Acupuncture Is Medicine for the Spirit

Acupuncture is medicine for the spirit. It trains the mind to calm and the body to relax.

The training accumulates with each session, helping you to go deeper into the experience of relaxation. In a world of stress and chaos, acupuncture gives you a space to let go of all the worries and tensions in your body and emotions. The body gets cleared of its stuck energy, bound up in the shoulders and neck. The mind settles because the senses are calmed and there is less stimulation coming from outside. You become more aware of your thoughts, too, and they slowly settle.

Acupuncture is a subtle medicine that affects every aspect of your being: the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. You will feel the flow of energy as the needles release and balance it. You will feel great peace and relaxation, food for your spirit. The body will feel relaxed, recharged, lighter, and supple.

The body is a battery that needs recharging and rest. Acupuncture gives the body a new source to tap into to increase its reserves of energy. Tense muscles use up energy needlessly, causing fatigue, joint stress, and pain. Acupuncture releases this blocked energy, frees it to flow, and allows it to be used more efficiently.

No one learns how to relax consciously, and it is an important skill, and it takes time and practice.

Physical relaxation involves removing the energy from the body. First, you have to be aware of the energy, to feel it. Then you will be able to direct it or release it.

  • Illness and Wellness

Ever notice that there are an infinite number of illnesses and one general state of wellness?

Your body has one cause of health, your Qi, also known as prana in yoga philosophy, or life force.

The proper flow and movement of this energy sustains the myriad processes of our body, mind, and their health. Keeping this movement of energy in balance goes a long way in maintaining longevity and vitality. Our bodies are under constant stress from our environment, fighting invading organisms, repairing cells, building new ones, and expending vast amounts of energy to sustain you. It’s incredible that they can function at all.

Acupuncture and herbs are effective ways to help restore lost vitality and rebalance our energies. Acupuncture can be very subtle, more subtle than massage, freeing stuck energy so that it can be used to properly maintain the body.

Acupuncture sessions often put patients into a meditative state of deep calmness and stillness. A peaceful mind is conducive to a healthy body. This is the state of regeneration, recovery, rest, and integration. I help the patient deepen their relationship with their own body and the subtle energies flowing through them. It’s a relationship that brings great awareness about the body and your mind, and attunes you to a higher rate of vibration.

It’s a beautiful process, one that goes deeper and deeper and one that is very rewarding.
